Cheesemakers scoop a bronze at the World Cheese Awards.
The accolade for Mrs. Bells Blue, traditionally handmade with locally sourced ewes milk and named after founder Judy Bell, was in the blue vein cheese, uncut, foil-wrapped category.
The win marks the fourth award this year for the cheese, which also took gold in the British Cheese Awards
The World Cheese Awards, run by the UKs Guild of Fine Food, were held in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, which is only the second time they have gone outside Britain in their 21-year history.
More than 150 judges from 24 countries sampled 2,440 entries from 34 countries to choose the winners. About 140 received gold awards.
Mrs Bell said We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded bronze at the prestigious World Cheese Awards. It continues to pick up award after award for its fabulous taste and I am so proud to have my name on it and win on the world stage.
