Newby wins award
Manager Mark Maxwell picked up the farm shops latest award for Best Rural Business 2009 at the Ackrill Media Group Business Awards in Harrogate just before Easter. To win the award the farm shop obviously had to have.
1) A fantastic shop.
2) A unique selling point, their supreme quality pork, beef & lamb raised & butchered on its own farm.
3) Demonstrated a proven and measureable contribution to agriculture and the country environment over several generations.
4) Strong community links that put people first and of course.
5) Prove to the judges that they had achieved all of the 4 points above, to a higher standard than all the other nominated businesses!
Mark was extremely proud of the award stating, to win any award in food production and sales is extremely difficult given the competitiveness of our industry but to win an award open to any type of rural business is exceptional and fantastic. He is extremely proud and pleased for all involved.
