Yorkshire Dales Meat triumphs!
Yorkshire Dales Meat was named Producer of the Year at the annual International Business Forum Awards.
Guests at the awards dinner in Scarborough were able to make their own judgements as the sirloin steak eaten on the night was supplied by the company.
Simon Crannage, executive chef at Swinton Park, Masham, prepared the awards dinner. He only uses Yorkshire Dales Meat Company products at the hotel and requested their steak for the dinner.
Stephen Knox, managing director of the family run business at Patrick Brompton, near Bedale, was delighted with the award.
He is now looking forward to the Deliciouslyorkshire Regional Food and Drink awards in which they have been shortlisted for the fresh meat and prepared meat categories. He said �We are hoping that we can do as well as last year and come away as winner of one of the categories�.
They hope to win the prepared meat category with their pork and caramelised red onion sausage or Mrs K�s Golden Sultana Black Pudding.
They have had their Aberdeen Angus rib-eye steak and sirloin steak nominated for the Fresh Meat award.
The products are supplied to all of their customers � from farm shops to five star hotels.
